He pointed out that the FRCN failed transmitters in the North East has hindered the progress of the Agency, especially in reaching out to Nigerians over there, and wants government to help in restoring it to life.

Professor Oshita O. Oshita also wants media partnership with Radio Nigeria as a vehicle for educating the public and for broadcasting programmes that promote peace.

He suggested packaging a programme titled ‘’PEACE BEGINS WITH ME’’ to enlighten Nigerians on the purpose of peace and conflict resolution, hereby making them more integrated than ever.

The Professor thanked the Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the speedy audience granted them.

In his remark, the Director General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Dr Mansur Liman, promised to look into more ways of collaborations with the Agency in the promotion of peace and stability in the Country.

He said some of the FRCN transmitters in the North - East are currently faulty and said government needs to help revitalize it for easy flow of information to those remote areas.

He gave the assurance that FRCN will continue to carry out its primary mandate of passing information to the public and the idea of the programme suggested by the Agency is workable and that FRCN will work with the Agency to see it birthed.

In closing, IPCR made a presentation of a plaque and books to FRCN, while they went home with FRCN publications, Pendants of Rhythm and the President Explains.
