Gunmen kill Dickson's security aides

Gunmen shot dead two middle age men and one other man identified as British, who is said to be a security aide to Governor Seriake Dickson in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, throwing the city into panic.

They were shot at close range along the Goodnews road near the new State House of Assembly Complex in Yenagoa at about nine o’clock in the morning.

A Police team led by the Divisional Head of the Azikoro Police Station, Mrs Rita Gream, supervised the removal of the corpses of the deceased and the bullet ridden infinity Jeep number GBJ-154-AA

Eye witness told Radio Nigeria that the killers, who came in a smaller car, blocked the Jeep conveying the victims before carrying out the attack.

In the meantime, the Bayelsa State has condemned the attack.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, retired Colonel Bernard Kenebai in a statement said the government was working with security agencies to bring the suspects to book.
