APGA: We’ll reposition the party - Masalla

The Alhaji Sadiq Masalla led Group in the renewed APGA crisis says it is poised to reposition the Party to be more pro-active.

At the maiden National Executive Council meeting of the Group said his leadership would take the Party to greater heights in future elections.

Alhaji Sadiq said the meeting also resolved to elect a new Board of Trustee's Chairman to replace the late Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

The Vice Chairman of the Party's Board of Trustees, Dr. Tim Menakaye, a representative of the Anambra State Government, Mr. Peter Obi, and a former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Ogbuewu attended the meeting.

Reacting to the development, the National Secretary of APGA, Alhaji Sani Shinkafi, described the Group's meeting as unconstitutional.

Alhaji Shinkafi maintained that the Chief Victor Umeh led National Working Committee remained the authentic leadership of the Party till 2015.
